Network Cabling Services (NCS) in the Dallas area seeks an experienced AV Service Technician to support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial audiovisual systems. Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial AV installation, service, or troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of audiovisual systems and signal flow.
• Experience troubleshooting audio, video, and control systems.
• Knowledge of HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, and other AV connectivity technologies.
• Ability to read AV drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Basic understanding of structured cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber.
• Ability to work independently and manage service assignments.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and move AV equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial audiovisual systems.
• Perform service calls, maintenance, and equipment replacements.
• Identify and resolve issues involving audio, video, control systems, and connectivity.
• Troubleshoot AV equipment, including displays, projectors, speakers, amplifiers, microphones, and conferencing systems.
• Diagnose signal flow issues and verify proper system operation.
• Perform cable testing, termination, and basic structured cabling repairs.
• Read and interpret AV drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Configure and troubleshoot AV equipment and control systems.
• Provide technical support to customers and end users.
• Document service calls, repairs, equipment issues, and resolutions.
• Coordinate with project managers and other technicians to resolve service issues.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards.
