Job summary

Parallel Systems is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to develop perception and sensor fusion for autonomous, battery-electric rail vehicles. You will fuse lidar, camera, IMU, GPS data and implement geometry-based CV/robotics algorithms for real-time perception.

Joining the team means collaborating with ML, firmware, embedded platform, and systems engineers to deploy robust perception and sensor fusion solutions across production deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in robotics, CS, or electrical engineering.
• 4+ years hands-on experience developing and deploying robotics/perception software.
• Strong background in geometry-based computer vision and robotics algorithms; ML exposure is a bonus.
• Proficiency in Rust and C/C++ and experience with real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain real-time robotics software that ingests and fuses high-throughput, multi-modal sensor data.
• Implement, validate, and test real-time sensor fusion across simulation and field deployments.
• Perform sensor calibration and apply linear algebra, 3D geometry, and optimization to state estimation.
• Design geometry-based computer vision and robotics algorithms for real-time perception; ML experience is a bonus.
• Collaborate with ML, firmware, embedded platform, and systems engineers to integrate perception into the autonomy stack.
