Job summary

Vanthal Technologies is seeking a Senior Autonomy Software Engineer to develop planning, coordination, and decision-making software for collaborative unmanned-aircraft systems. This on-site role is based in Annapolis, Maryland, working with aircraft, edge-compute hardware, flight-control systems, simulation environments, operator interfaces, and live test platforms.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional software-engineering experience.
• Three years in robotics/autonomy or related real-time systems.
• Strong C++ and Python development experience.
• Experience with Linux, hardware interaction, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomous mission-planning and execution software.
• Develop vehicle-selection and task-allocation logic.
• Create multi-aircraft coordination and coverage planning features.
• Develop testing, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop verification.
• Maintain architecture documentation and code quality.
