Job summary

AeroVect Technologies Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and build behavior planning systems for autonomous ground operations in low-speed environments.

You will own modules in the behavior planner, work with the autonomy team, and require strong C++ and Python skills, multi-agent modeling, and robust testing in simulation and real-world scenarios.

Minimum 3 years in autonomous driving or robotics, with a Master’s degree, and solid debugging and optimization abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in modern C++ (11/14/17) and OOP.
• Skilled in Python for rapid prototyping and testing.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and code optimization skills.
• Deep understanding of behavior planning algorithms (state machines, behavior trees, probabilistic planning).
• Familiarity with path planning (A*, RRT, optimization-based methods).
• Master's degree in CS/Robotics or related field; 3+ years in autonomous driving/robotics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced behavior planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust integration of planning systems.
• Design, write, and maintain efficient, scalable C++/Python code.
• Contribute to architecture and continuous improvement of behavior planning software.
• Conduct extensive testing in simulation and real-world scenarios to validate algorithms.
• Analyze system performance and implement data-driven enhancements.
• Maintain documentation of code, algorithms, and system designs.
