Job summary

AeroVect is seeking a Principal Engineer for Autonomy who will hold the senior-most technical role in the autonomy organization. This position requires extensive hands-on experience and the ability to influence the entire autonomy stack.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in perception, prediction, and planning with a proven history of shipping autonomy systems at scale. You will work closely with the VP of Engineering to set the technical direction.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in building production autonomy systems.
  • Track record of shipping autonomy components running in production.
  • Experience as the senior individual contributor in autonomy organizations.
  • Strong software fundamentals in C++ and Python.
  • Fluency in modern deep learning for autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and evolution of perception, prediction, and planning stacks.
  • Set the technical direction for integration across autonomy components.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for implementation of autonomy architecture.
