Job summary

42dot is building a new autonomous driving organization to deliver production-ready L4 autonomy across trucks, buses, passenger vehicles, and robotaxis. As a founding senior engineer, you will define how autonomy performance is measured, validated, and improved, shaping evaluation pipelines and infrastructure.

You will lead scalable testing, simulation-driven validation, and data-driven prioritization while mentoring colleagues and contributing to the company’s technical roadmap.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering difficult technical problems to deployment.
• Advanced degree in CS/Robotics/EEE/Math/Stats or related field.
• 5+ years in autonomy, robotics, simulation, ML infra, validation, or large-scale software.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve autonomy KPIs and performance metrics.
• Lead development of evaluation and validation infrastructure.
• Design scalable testing and performance analysis methodologies.
• Build simulation-driven validation workflows.
• Develop tools for failure analysis and scenario mining.
• Drive data-informed prioritization of autonomy improvements.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to team growth.
