Job summary

Magna Global Team in Kentucky seeks an experienced tooling engineer to lead tool design coordination for production programs. You will work with vendors and internal groups to optimize tooling specifications and ensure fit and function.

The role demands deep knowledge of stamping tooling, metallurgy, and GD&T, with hands-on experience in AutoCAD/CATIA/Teamcenter and related simulation tools. Onsite at our Cosma facility, you will contribute to industry-leading automotive solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent certification from a four-year college or technical school or ten years' experience in applicable role
Journeyman card in tool and die qualification preferred
Minimum of 7 years of Automotive process and stamping tooling experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience liaising with outside vendors preferred
Minimum of 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Coordinates activities of tool design to facilitate production or procurement of tooling.
Determines the most effective manufacturing process while sustaining the most efficient cost.
Prepares the initial specification of tooling for specific programs and/or products.
Coordinates tuning of tooling for fit and function
