Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 7+ years in automotive tooling, and strong CAD/PLM skills (AutoCAD, CATIA, Teamcenter). Collaboration with vendors is essential for tool tuning and fit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent certification.
• Journeyman card in tool and die preferred.
• 7+ years Automotive process and stamping tooling experience.
• 5+ years liaising with outside vendors preferred.
• 7+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and core tools knowledge (ISO/TS16949).
• Knowledge of AIAG standards and metallurgy of steel.
• Ability to read simulations (AutoForm, Dynaform, PamStamp).
• Proficient with CAD/PLM software (AutoCAD, CATIA, Teamcenter).
• Proficient in GD&T and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates tool design activities to facilitate production or procurement.
• Determines the most effective manufacturing process while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Prepares initial tooling specifications for programs or products.
• Coordinates tuning of tooling for fit and function.
