Job summary

Bridgestone America, Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to lead a team toward higher customer care and service quality. The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, training, and mentoring within a dynamic auto-care environment.

The position offers a flat-rate pay model with regional earning potential, opportunities for ASE certifications, and ongoing formal training. A valid driver’s license and ASE credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license at all times.
• Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics and/or steering & suspension.
• Reading, writing and math skills are required.
• Current federal, state and local certifications/licenses where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical people.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
