Job summary

Bridgestone Americas is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and lead a team toward higher customer care in our Indianapolis area stores.

The role emphasizes timely, accurate repairs, ongoing training, and mentoring junior technicians, with a flat-rate compensation model reflecting productivity and regional rates. ASE certifications are encouraged, with company support for certification tests.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to non‑mechanical teammates or customers.
• Pursue ongoing training to stay current with automotive technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications including brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals clearly.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology via paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Aim to obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three A1–A8 within two years; test fees paid by company; bonus for tests passed.
