Job summary

Bridgestone America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician in Grand Forks, ND to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, lead a team, and enhance customer care. The role includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus for first-time hires and a flat-rate pay structure based on tasks completed.

Ideal candidates will have automotive repair experience, ASE certifications, and strong communication skills to explain complex issues to customers. Ongoing training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1-A8 (L1 acceptable).
• Demonstrated skills in brakes/hydraulics or steering & suspension and alignments.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake & hydraulic, exhaust, ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment (company pays fees).
