Job summary

Bridgestone America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to improve customer care.

The role emphasizes leadership, continuous learning and a commitment to high-quality automotive service in a fast-paced shop. The position offers flat-rate pay with rates reflecting regional earnings, and opportunities for ASE certification across multiple test areas.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license at all times.
• Brakes & hydraulics and/or steering & suspension and alignments experience.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair skills.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications within first two years of employment (fees paid by the company).
