Job summary

Bridgestone Americas is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while using leadership to drive a team toward improved customer care and satisfaction. The role features a flat-rate pay model and a commitment to fair compensation within the region.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license at all times.
• Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics, or steering and suspensions.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications the brake, hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical systems, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment; tests and fees are paid by the company and technicians receive bonuses for tests passed.
