Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations in Livingston, NJ seeks a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, lead a service team, and drive customer care and satisfaction with a focus on quality repairs and mentoring peers.

Ideal candidates will have strong brake/hydraulics, steering/suspension skills, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. A sign-on bonus and paid training accompany a competitive, flat-rate pay structure based on tasks completed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong brakes & hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment.
