Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and mentor a team toward higher customer satisfaction. The role uses a flat-rate pay model with compensation tied to performance, within a broad regional schedule and benefits package.

The position emphasizes ongoing training, ASE certification support, and safe, quality repairs across brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, ignition, and A/C systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Experience with brakes and hydraulics, steering and suspension, and alignments.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brakes and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals clearly.
• Stay current with automotive tech through formal paid training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Pursue ASE certifications (A1–A8) within two years; tests paid by the company; bonus for passes.
