Job summary

Martin Tire in El Paso, TX, is seeking an Automotive Technician / Mechanic to diagnose and repair vehicles per MAP guidelines and dealership standards. Expect competitive flag-rate pay and a path for advancement, with benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Responsibilities include diagnosing vehicles, performing multi-point inspections, explaining repairs to customers, and recommending services to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
• Possess current, valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals including the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition and documents all recommendations.
• Follows safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certs.
