Job summary

Greg's Japanese Auto is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to MAP and dealer standards. You will interpret multi-point inspections and clearly explain needed work to customers and management while maintaining ASE certifications and adhering to safety procedures.

The role offers up to $55/hr depending on experience, with tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, sick time, six holidays, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must have an unexpired ASE certification or equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work five days per week, including Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles per certification/experience level
• Perform work per Multi-point Inspection or Repair Order with accuracy
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to managers, service consultants, and customers
• Recommend necessary services and document them in the customer file
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns to supervisor
• Maintain ASE certifications and renewals
• Support bi-weekly pay and benefits enrollment
• Contribute to advancement opportunities

The Senior Automotive Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers and Greg’s Automotive standards.

COMPENSATION: UP TO $55 / HR FLAG - VARIES UPON EXPERIENCE

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.
