Job summary

Greg’s Japanese Auto in Seattle is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles in line with MAP guidelines and dealership standards. The role offers hourly pay up to $50 depending on experience, along with a benefits package including insurance, paid time off, and retirement options.

You will work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays, and maintain ASE certifications throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the inspection/repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Recommends necessary services and documents recommendations.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to management.

The Automotive Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers and Greg’s Automotive standards.

COMPENSATION: UP TO $50/HR FLAG - VARIES UPON EXPERIENCE

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.
