Job summary

Bruce's Tire & Auto Service in California is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles in a fast-paced shop environment.

We offer a competitive compensation range of $30/hr–$50/hr plus a productivity bonus, plus benefits including health, life, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and advancement opportunities. ASE certifications preferred; ability to work five days a week and maintain ASE qualifications is expected.

Qualifications

• Senior automotive technician with significant experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safety-conscious mindset.
• Preference for one unexpired ASE or equivalent training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals including the Store Manager, Service Consultants and customers.
• Recommends services necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition and documents all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

The Automotive Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturer’s, and Bruce's standards.

COMPENSATION: $30/hr - $50/hr, to include hourly plus productivity bonus.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
