Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Systems Integration Engineer for our client in Randburg, Gauteng. You will define interfaces, manage system interactions, and resolve integration challenges across powertrain, chassis, electronics, and infotainment.

Responsibilities include system architecture, interface development, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless vehicle integration and validation across subsystems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive systems engineering with a focus on integration.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle subsystems (powertrain, chassis, body electronics, ADAS, infotainment).

Responsibilities

• Define system architectures and integration strategies for automotive platforms.
• Develop and manage system interfaces and requirements for vehicle sub-systems.
• Conduct system-level testing and validation to ensure cohesive operation.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve integration issues across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Collaborate with sub-system engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration.
• Maintain system integration documentation including schematics, timing diagrams, and interface control documents.
• Troubleshoot complex system-level problems and propose effective solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies and their impact on system integration.
