Job summary

Adient US LLC seeks an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT) and act as the primary liaison to the customer and Adient management. The role focuses on motivating the team, managing scope, and delivering on commitments for the central Plymouth MI program office.

The position requires extensive program management experience in the automotive context, with a track record in vehicle launches and strong cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Five (5) years of project management experience in automotive or related areas.
• Ten years of experience in the Automotive Industry with at least one vehicle launch.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT) and represent it to the Customer and Adient management.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet commitments and resolve conflicts across teams and customer.
• Manage scope changes, publish SOW/SSOWs, and track impact on cost, timing, product and quality.
• Schedule and moderate monthly Financial SDT meetings; drive profitability through the Financial Roadmap and reporting.
• Oversee program timing, open issues, risk management, and timely gate exits.
• Coordinate product requirements, FMVSS compliance, and support manufacturing in issue resolution.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure communication of issues, changes, and approvals.
