Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a seasoned Production Planner/Industrial Engineer to define manufacturing processes, lead cross-functional teams, and optimize production workflows. You will plan operations, coordinate equipment, and prepare capacity/cost analyses to support continuous improvement across Body, Paint, and Assembly line segments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant engineering field and 3–5 years in automotive manufacturing, with Lean and ISO 9001

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Maintenance Engineering or similar field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant automotive manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in LEAN manufacturing and ISO 9001 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Define productive or non-productive processes and concepts for industrialization and manufacturing of automobiles.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in problem solving to improve quality or efficiency.
• Plan sequences of operations, layouts, and production equipment for various subsystems.
• Prepare capacity analyses, budget tracking, and cost proposals for asset investments.
• Coordinate suppliers and internal departments for packages of measures.
• Optimize and document technical processes for subsystems and workflows.
• Participate in projects and represent requirements of own area.
