Placements24 represents a respected automotive dealership in Welkom seeking a Senior Automotive Parts Manager. Lead the parts department, optimize inventory, and drive profitability through strategic planning and team coaching.

We require at least 5 years in parts management (2 in a supervisory role), strong knowledge of OEM and aftermarket parts, DMS experience, and proven leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in automotive parts management, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OEM and aftermarket parts.
• Experience with inventory management systems and dealership management software (DMS).
• Strong understanding of procurement, sales, and financial management principles within the automotive industry.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience within the Welkom, Free State automotive market is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs.
• Oversee the procurement of automotive parts from various suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize parts revenue and profitability.
• Lead, train, and motivate the parts department team, ensuring high performance and excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using dealership management systems (DMS).
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Manage the budget for the parts department, tracking expenses and revenue.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, technicians, and customers.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the parts department.
