Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to support the development and integration of automotive audio and electronic components. You will focus on component packaging and vehicle layout development, coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams throughout the product development life cycle.

The role requires 5+ years of automotive product engineering experience and strong CATIA skills for packaging studies and layout proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive product engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of CATIA (advanced surfacing not required).
• Experience with component packaging, vehicle layouts, and supplier coordination.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage part ownership and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience supporting components through the full product development cycle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design and integration of speakers, switches, brackets, and other vehicle electronic components.
• Develop component layout proposals and packaging studies using CATIA.
• Coordinate with body, interior, styling, and supplier teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Create parts lists, support variation management activities, and track component implementation.
• Review supplier proposals and provide engineering feedback.
• Communicate technical concerns and support decision-making across departments.
