Job summary

Goken America, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to support design and development of automotive components such as Head Unit, Meter, Telematics Unit, Switches, Amp, Speakers, Wireless Charger, and Display.

The role requires CATIA V5/V6 proficiency, a strong DFM mindset, and excellent communication skills. Travel to client sites is required; join a team focused on time-to-innovate and impactful engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 3+ years of experience.
• Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
• Experience designing components and systems such as Head Unit, Meter, Telematics Unit, Switches, Amp, Speakers, Wireless Charger, Display, etc.
• Experience using CATIA V5/V6 required
• Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Create part specification requirements and BOM.
• Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
• Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs.
• Travel to client sites required.
