Pacer Group in Dearborn, MI seeks a Senior Automotive HIL Engineer to drive hardware-in-the-loop validation and system integration for a premier automotive program. The role requires deep hands-on HIL experience, CarMaker proficiency, and Python scripting to automate tests.

You will collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure embedded software meets ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR standards, and to validate chassis control algorithms using MIL/SIL/HIL methods.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HIL test implementation in automotive environments.
• Advanced CarMaker usage for dynamic vehicle modeling and test execution.
• Python scripting for test automation, data extraction, and analysis.
• Chassis control understanding including brakes, steering, suspension with real-time embedded systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and standard engineering practices (FMEA, P- diagrams).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and automate HIL test procedures.
• Leverage CarMaker, Python, and CAE models to simulate dynamics and optimize parameters.
• Validate chassis algorithms using MIL, SIL, and HIL techniques.
• Document tests, track issues, and ensure timely defect elimination.
• Align artifacts with ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, P-diagrams, and systems engineering standards.
