Job summary

Opus IVS seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to develop state-of-the-art vehicle diagnostic equipment and communication devices. You will collaborate with multiple tech teams to deliver world-class hardware, firmware, and software solutions.

The role involves building PC boards, vehicle interface hardware, battery management hardware, and test systems; you will use C, C++, and C# for development and contribute to quality through tests and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hardware engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hardware design or development experience.
• Experience with ARM processors and electronic design for EMC/EMI compliance.
• Strong knowledge of hardware design including MPUs, UART, CAN, LIN, A/D and D/A converters.
• Proficient in C, C++, and C# programming; able to debug circuits.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded automotive diagnostic pass-thru products (PC boards and firmware).
• Build diagnostic systems including PC hardware and vehicle communication hardware.
• Improve code quality via unit tests, automation, and code reviews.
• Design and run product and protocol validation tests.
• Interface with customers to collect performance feedback.
