Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE) for Automotive Analog & Power in the Americas. This hybrid role drives design-in activities and interfaces closely with customer engineering teams and Renesas marketing and applications groups.

You will define new products with customers, support ECUs and xEV systems design, perform lab measurements, and help maximize Renesas' future business across all sales channels while maintaining strong relationships and

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• Minimum 5 years in related work, or MS EE plus 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience as a Field or Applications Engineer.
• Experience applying analog and power semiconductors in automotive.
• Hands-on design of Automotive ECUs, analog and power electronics.
• Hands-on design of ECUs, xEV systems, Power Modules and Telematics.
• Proven ability to prioritize activities and balance technical work with account management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive design-in activities for automotive analog and power products in the Americas.
• Define new products with customers and internal teams.
• Act as a technical interface and consult customers during development.
• Derive customer requirements and market trends with internal teams.
• Manage projects with Sales and Marketing to hit design-in targets.
• Establish and maintain relationships with customer engineering.
• Perform measurements in the lab on customer projects.
• Support distribution partners during FAE trainings or seminars.
• Maximize future business across all Renesas sales channels.
• Listen to partners, build trust, set ambitious goals, and prioritize technically with a commercial view.
