Job summary

Roush is seeking a Technologist to assist engineers in designing, developing, testing, and repairing vehicles and equipment in Allen Park, MI. The role includes mentoring staff and maintaining project schedules.

You will work with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems, leading cross-functional teams and ensuring rigorous testing and validation processes. A strong automotive and testing background is required, along with solid MS Office skills and data management capabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of automotive, prototype or testing experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience performing electrical splicing, crimping, soldering and mechanical layout and packaging of components and systems.
• Ability to lead and work with cross functional teams and have strong organizational skills.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to collect data from testing results and software and manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of vehicle instrumentation for testing.
• Good mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, diagnose, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and high-voltage EV systems.
• Validate products by setting up vehicles or components for testing of systems or equipment.
• Mentor and provide technical support to team members as a subject matter expert.
• Perform complete functional inspection and prove-out of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers and internal teams to identify equipment and sensors for testing.
• Schedule product testing and activities with internal and external teams.
