Job summary

Main Street Auto is seeking a skilled Lead Automotive Technician to provide technical expertise and ensure the highest level of service, diagnostics, and repair quality across a wide range of vehicles.

In this role you will mentor a team of technicians, oversee repair scheduling, collaborate with service advisors on estimates, uphold safety standards, stay current with industry trends, and maintain accurate records—hours are 8:00-5:30 Monday–Thursday, 8:00-1:00 Friday, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Automotive Technician with a focus on diagnostics.
• Proven leadership skills to guide a team.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and software.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostic procedures and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Lead and mentor technicians to ensure quality workmanship.
• Oversee scheduling and assignment of repair jobs for efficiency.
• Collaborate with service advisor for accurate repair estimates.

• Stay updated with latest automotive technology through training.
