Job summary

Maynard's Auto Repair in Clackamas, OR is seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician for a Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM schedule with no weekend work. This full-time role offers a flat-rate pay of $42-$50 per flagged hour, based on experience, within a six-bay shop that prioritizes quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of hands-on professional automotive repair experience required.
• A-Level technician with advanced automotive diagnostics & troubleshooting skills.
• Strong experience diagnosing electrical and drivability concerns.
• Experience servicing and repairing domestic and Asian vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a small team.
• Clear, professional communication with service staff and shop leadership.
• General computer proficiency; ALLDATA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair domestic and Asian vehicles.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and drivability concerns using strong automotive diagnostic skills.
• Perform repairs involving brakes, suspension, engines, electrical systems, and related automotive systems.
• Complete accurate diagnostics and resolve repair concerns with emphasis on quality and craftsmanship.
• Work independently while collaborating with technicians, service staff, and shop leadership.
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly with service staff.
• Maintain clean, organized workmanship and focus on completing repairs correctly the first time.
• Provide technical expertise and stability during leadership transition.
