Job summary

Avondale Group is seeking a Controller for Avondale Dealerships to elevate the client experience by ensuring the Accounting Department operates efficiently and accurately. You will oversee assets, liabilities, and policies while guiding staff and coordinating with General Managers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 7 years of dealership accounting experience; CPA preferred but not required. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and seven years dealership accounting experience.
• Experience leading an accounting department in a multi-dealership environment.
• Knowledge of budgeting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Ability to work with General Managers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Reviews accounting accuracy and reconciliations across dealerships.
• Collaborates in annual Operational Planning with all dealerships.
• Develops actions for projects, maintains reporting, and reviews monthly with GMs.
• Prepares and analyzes annual budgets for all dealerships in ADP.
• Liaises between accounting staff to meet deadlines and updates.
• Oversees preparation for annual audits and internal control improvements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree + 7 years dealership accounting experience

CPA Certification (preferred but not required)
