Job summary

Element Partners in Aurora, CO is seeking an Accounting Office Manager to run a clean, current office in a high-volume dealership environment. You will own daily accounting functions, supervise staff, and ensure schedules and reports are accurate for the Controller and Dealer Principal.

The role requires at least 3+ years of dealership accounting, hands-on DMS experience (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or Tekion), and the ability to close a month without drama while leading a small team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of dealership accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Hands-on proficiency with a dealership DMS — CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or Tekion.
• Working knowledge of the dealership financial statement and how each schedule ties to it.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile schedules on a current basis.
• Comfort managing people, deadlines, and department heads who need answers.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of the accounting office — A/P, A/R, deal posting, and schedule reconciliation.
• Supervision, training, and workflow for the office staff (billing clerk, title clerk, cashiers).
• Month-end close and preparation of the factory financial statement.
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet schedules — kept current, not caught up at close.
• Floorplan reconciliation and payoff tracking.
• Warranty and contract receivables — aging monitored and cleared, not parked.
• Bank reconciliations, daily cash management, and deposit oversight.
• Payroll processing and commission calculations for sales and fixed ops.
• Title and registration compliance, working with the title clerk to keep DMV work current.
• Support for the annual audit and factory review process.
