Job summary

Voodoo Automotive Paint & Body in Gonzales, LA is seeking an experienced Automotive Collision Estimator who understands the repair process, vehicle construction, and how insurance claims are handled from start to finish.

You will write accurate collision repair estimates using CCC ONE, inspect damage, prepare supplements, and negotiate with insurance adjusters while keeping customers informed of costs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience writing automotive collision repair estimates is REQUIRED.
• Experience with CCC ONE is REQUIRED.
• Must have a strong understanding of automotive parts and vehicle construction.
• Must be able to identify and communicate collision-related damage.
• Must understand the difference between repairable and replaceable components.
• Must be knowledgeable about OEM, aftermarket, recycled, and alternative parts.
• Must understand the collision repair process from estimate through completion.
• Must be comfortable communicating and advocating for necessary repairs with insurance adjusters.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple repair orders.
• Must be comfortable working in an active body shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate collision repair estimates using CCC ONE.
• Inspect damaged vehicles and identify all necessary repairs and parts.
• Understand vehicle construction, parts, repair procedures, and collision damage.
• Prepare supplements when additional damage is discovered during teardown.
• Communicate directly with insurance adjusters regarding estimates, repairs, supplements, and necessary procedures.
• Clearly explain and negotiate disputed repair items with insurance adjusters.
• Document damage with detailed notes and photographs.
• Work with technicians to ensure the estimate accurately reflects the repairs required.
• Communicate repair plans, costs, and timelines with customers.
• Coordinate with insurance companies throughout the repair process.
• Ensure estimates are thorough, accurate, and properly documented.
