Job summary

NC Dept of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Senior Automation Testing Lead to drive automation testing for the Managed Care Transition Project. You will assess testability, develop test cases from business requirements, and lead functional, integration, and regression testing across EDI domains.

The role requires hands-on scripting for X12 EDI transactions, SQL querying, and experience with HP ALM and JIRA.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and executing test scripts based on Business Requirements and Software Design Documents.
• Proven ability to conduct QA and testing on EDI applications.
• Experience assessing the testability of requirements and developing test cases based on BRD/SDD.
• Experience in the execution of functional, integration and regression tests.
• Experience with Healthcare Claims Processing Testing.
• Hands-on experience with test and defect management tools (HP ALM, JIRA).
• Experience testing web applications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to handle multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assess testability of requirements and develop test cases from BRD/SDD.
• Execute functional, integration and regression tests.
• Develop and execute test scripts for X12 EDI Transactions (837I, 837P, NCPDP D.0).
• Develop SQL queries for validation and data checks.
• Script automated test suites.
• Review, analyze and report test results.
• Utilize test and defect management tools (HP ALM, JIRA).
• Test healthcare claims processing applications.
• Collaborate with business teams to write QA documents and ensure UAT readiness.
• Maintain strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
