Job summary

NC Dept of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Senior Automation Testing Lead to drive automated testing for the Managed Care Transition Project. The role involves building test automation, coordinating functional, integration and regression tests, and ensuring robust QA in a healthcare claims processing environment.

You will work with end users to validate test coverage, develop SQL queries for verification, and leverage tools like HP ALM and JIRA to manage defects and test artifacts.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing the testability of requirements and developing test cases from Business Requirements and Software Design Documents.
• Experience executing functional, integration and regression tests.
• Hands-on testing for HIPAA X12 EDI Transactions such as 837I, 837P and NCPDP D.0.
• Experience developing SQL queries for test verification.
• Scripting automated test suites and maintaining test scripts.
• Ability to review, analyze and report test results.
• Familiarity with Test and Defect Management tools (HP ALM, JIRA).
• Experience testing web applications in healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effort to build Automation Testing for the Managed Care Transition Project.
• Coordinate test planning, execution, and defect tracking with stakeholders.
• Ensure end-to-end testing including EDI, HIPAA, and healthcare claims processing.
• Collaborate with business teams to ensure comprehensive UAT and test coverage.
• Communicate testing status and risks to management and clients.
