Job summary

NC Dept of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Senior Automation Testing Lead to drive automation testing for the Managed Care Transition Project. The role involves leading the testing effort for a critical in-house system, with responsibilities across functional, integration, and regression testing and EDI (HIPAA X12) testing.

The position requires hands-on scripting of automated test suites, SQL data validation, and collaboration with end users to ensure thorough UAT.

Qualifications

• Assess testability of requirements and develop test cases from BRD/SDD.
• Execute functional, integration and regression tests.
• Test HIPAA X12 EDI transactions (837I/837P/NCPDP D.0).
• Develop and execute automated test scripts.
• Develop SQL queries for data validation.
• Use HP ALM and JIRA for test/defect management.
• Test healthcare claims processing.
• Communicate effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation strategies for the Managed Care Transition Project.
• Lead testing across functional, integration and regression cycles.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to validate requirements.
• Prepare test data and execute EDI testing.
• Report and track defects, provide test status to stakeholders.
