PACCAR is seeking an Automation Test Cell & Facility Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of automated test systems within the Engine Test Laboratory. The role emphasizes improving test quality, standardizing procedures, and expanding automation capabilities across test cells and facilities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 7 years of automation and control experience in engine test lab facilities.
• Proficiency with AVL test cell automation systems and Siemens hardware.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engine and exhaust aftertreatment systems.
• Ability to work with ETL staff in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems for engine test cells and facility operations.
• Support engineering by supplying and maintaining testing tools used for calibrating and validating hardware/software.
• Advance calibration and validation through tool improvements.
• Assist facility upgrades and new test cell development initiatives.
• Collaborate with teams to improve test quality, automation, safety, and efficiency.
• Research and implement new automation, instrumentation, and testing technologies.
