Job summary

SolarEdge Technologies in Erda, UT, is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair automated systems on the manufacturing floor. You will support SE’s Automation machines, troubleshoot, and optimize uptime while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong electrical, mechanical, and automation skills and a passion for renewable energy. On-site work and safety-focused culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience with complex automated machine maintenance.
• Certified Machinery Engineer or Practical Engineering.
• Certified electrician certification or diploma is a plus.
• Deep knowledge and experience with control systems: PLCs, sensors.
• Deep knowledge and experience with pneumatic and motion control systems.
• Experienced with drawings: mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• POC / Interface for SolarEdge’s Automation group; provide programming, teaching and upgrades for SE’s Automation machines.
• Coach and train new technicians.
• Responsible for Automated Assembly Machines preventive maintenance program: write and improve procedures, train crew to perform high-standard activities, build activity schedule and monitor progress.
• Lead and perform troubleshooting activities.
• Act as team role model while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Manage machinery spare parts: improve list (PN) quantities, monitor safety stock, support purchasing to improve cost.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other sites/departments: production, QA, Eng etc.
