Challenge Manufacturing is a leading employee-owned automotive supplier in North America. We seek an experienced Automation Technician III to mentor teams, troubleshoot complex electrical and robotic systems, and improve welding processes at our Kansas City, MO plant.

You will work from detailed electrical/mechanical prints and coordinate with Weld Engineers on RAFT schedules. We value safety, ownership, and teamwork, and offer ESOP benefits that share success with employee-owners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read/write/speak English to safely perform duties.
• Industrial licenses for truck and aerial platforms required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Automation Technician I & II and Weld Technicians.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems from prints.
• Perform intermediate programming and robot setup.
• Troubleshoot PLC, I/O blocks, and HMI systems.
• Setup/repair weld schedules and process adjustments.
• Perform preventive maintenance on specialty equipment.
