Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of direct automation experience with control systems and programming.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of HVAC controls systems (Delta, JCI or Andover preferred).
• Ability to interface with customers at supervisory/management level.
• Engineering skills include electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with control system architecture design, programming, or maintenance.
• Good computer skills and understanding of controls networking.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, adjust and repair automation devices and systems.
• Diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance.
• Coach and mentor other automation technicians.
• Analyze systems and develop scope of work for controls implementation.
• Interface with installation or maintenance teams to execute modifications.
• Give technical presentations on building automation and emerging tech.
