Job summary

Teradyne in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Automation Software Engineer for Integrated System Test to design and extend software for a large test system.

You will design operating software for capital equipment, collaborate with engineers across disciplines, and contribute to a global design effort. The role requires on-site work in Sunnyvale with international travel and occasional visits to North Reading, MA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of software development experience in C# .NET on Windows with Visual Studio.
• Experience building distributed and multi-threaded applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design.
• Automation Software experience is a must, including motion control systems, sequencing and process control logic, ACS motion control software, and integrating automation products.
• Semiconductors or test equipment industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with WPF, capital equipment, TCP/IP, database programming is a plus.
• Ability to work with AI-based code generators and cross-site teams.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and extend software for a large test system with multiple levels of software.
• Design operating software for capital equipment, factory information systems and application software.
• Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines to diagnose and solve complex system problems.
• Collaborate with a global design team.
• This role is based mostly on-site in North Reading, MA with moderate travel within the US and to SE Asia.
