Job summary

Critical Materials Group is building an advanced automated manufacturing capability for energetics components. The Senior Manufacturing Automation & Robotics Engineer leads automation, robotics integration, and material handling, translating concepts into scalable production systems with robotics, vision, controls, and digital data.

The role collaborates with production, operations, and external suppliers to establish repeatable manufacturing capabilities across CMG facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Robotics, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation or robotics.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical projects.
  • Experience with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program execution for the AIME/LAP Program; manage technical activities, risks, milestones.
  • Oversee robotics integration and automated workflows; define robotic work cells and material handling.
  • Develop automated production workflows and optimize layouts for safety and throughput.
  • Establish digital manufacturing data architectures; support MES concepts and dashboards.
  • Coordinate with controls engineers on PLC architectures, safety systems, and interfaces.
  • Manage vendors and contractors; participate in design reviews and FAT/SAT.
  • Lead commissioning and startup of automated systems; ensure readiness for production.
  • Collaborate with production for manufacturability and training materials.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
