FormFactor, Inc. in Livermore, California seeks a Senior Process & Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives across manufacturing.

The role focuses on developing, implementing, qualifying, and continuously improving automated processes and equipment, combining software with robotics and hands-on problem solving. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, technicians, and vendors to drive automation projects, qualify new processes, troubleshoot issues, and support

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required or an advanced degree with equivalent work experience.
2+ years related experience preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Execute automation projects from defined requirements through implementation, including design, analysis, testing, and project scope development.
Develop scripts and software to automate manufacturing processes and integrate equipment, hardware, and related systems.
Build, configure, test, and deploy robotic solutions for identified manufacturing processes to meet performance targets.
Support development of standardized automation equipment and user requirements specifications.
Contribute to equipment standardization, data standards, and safety risk assessments.
Apply engineering principles to identify and resolve automation and equipment issues.
Stay current with emerging automation technologies and potential applications in manufacturing.
Support development and qualification of new manufacturing processes, measurement systems, and testing equipment.
Manage qualification activities and analyze data to inform decisions.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and documentation to improve reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with design engineering to incorporate manufacturability considerations.
