Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co, Inc. (JBPCO) seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead automation projects across manufacturing sites in North America. You will identify opportunities, justify investments, and drive concept-to-implementation for welding, fiberglass, machine tending, and general assembly processes.

You will manage cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, and ensure JBPCO standards are applied from design through launch, enabling safe, reliable, and cost-efficient manufacturing improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading automation projects from concept through implementation.
• Ability to justify and present capital investment cases.
• Experience in high-volume or high-mix manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Lean manufacturing, safety, and continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support automation initiatives to drive safety, quality, cost, and throughput.
• Manage Concept-to-Commissioning for automation systems with internal customers and system integrators.
• Define improved business processes for manufacturing transformation.
• Develop CapEx proposals and business cases with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with planning, design, and tooling to ensure lean production.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations to optimize production schedules and ramp-up.
• Develop standard work, PFMEAs, and control plans for quality consistency.
• Prepare RFQ equipment specs and evaluate purchases for compliance.
