Job summary
Weyerhaeuser in Monticello, AR seeks a Process Control Engineer to lead automation across the Timberstrand plant. You will set up and maintain process control, partner with mill leadership, and drive efficiency and safety in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
You will mentor technicians and collaborate with site and corporate teams while applying best practices, tuning control loops, and advancing projects that align with operations goals.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering with 5+ years in process control in manufacturing
- 5+ years applying process control solutions in manufacturing
- Advanced PLC/HMI knowledge; able to design and tune complex automation
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects with site and corporate participation
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and apply process control best practices and network strategies
- Share industry best practices for control systems and applications
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Provide project leadership and training for PLC/HMI techs
- Lead implementation of new process control tech and documentation
- Collaborate with corporate resources and external suppliers
- Align project portfolio with business and operational goals
- Mentor other engineers and technicians
