Job summary
Insight Global is seeking an Automation Materials Industrial Engineer to join our Autonomous Manufacturing & Deployment (AMD) team. The role focuses on planning, development, and deployment of automation solutions that improve material flow, labor efficiency, safety, and operational performance in manufacturing environments.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, 5+ years as an Industrial Engineer specializing in materials flow, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD and plant floor
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years as an Industrial Engineer with focus on materials flow.
- PFEP (Plan For Every Part) experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and plant floor layouts.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% to local Midwest plants.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deploy automation solutions to improve material flow and operational performance.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, materials, logistics, and automation teams.
- Analyze processes, identify improvements, and develop automation concepts.
- Lead front-end analysis and maintain involvement through implementation and stabilization.
