Job summary

Bora Pharmaceuticals seeks a Sr. Automated Machinery Technician to maintain and upgrade packaging and manufacturing equipment. You will lead projects, troubleshoot advanced issues, program PLCs and VFDs, and train colleagues to uphold cGMP standards.

Responsibilities include designing complex machinery, procuring parts, coordinating installations, and supporting engineering and external vendors. A strong focus on safety and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• A vocational degree in automated machinery systems or equivalent from a two-year college and 5 years' experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 7 years' experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Advanced understanding/skills of electronics, PLC programming, electrical controls, pneumatics, fluid power encoders/resolvers, stepper motors, servo drives, VFDs, control loops, thermocouples, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain packaging line and manufacturing equipment to ensure availability.
• Lead delegated projects and provide direction when Lead Technician is absent.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues using a systematic approach to identify root cause.
• Train other staff and create troubleshooting/rebuilding documentation guides.
• Design/fabricate complex machinery and modify existing equipment as needed.
• Program electronic devices including VFDs and PLCs; integrate controllers and sensors.
• Procure parts, manage critical spare parts inventory, and coordinate installations with vendors.
• Support engineering with projects, installations, and equipment upgrades; work with outside contractors.
• Maintain HVAC and supporting utilities; ensure safety PPE compliance and a clean, safe workplace.
