Bora Bora Pharmaceuticals is a premier international contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in formulation development, clinical and commercial manufacturing, and packaging of complex pharmaceutical products.

General Summary

With moderate direction from the Lead Technicians and Maintenance Supervisor, the Automated Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift repairs, maintains and assists operations across all departments to ensure Packaging Line and Manufacturing equipment availability is maintained. The position plans projects directed by leadership and completes required documentation to ensure cGMP compliance.

Essential Duties

• Ensure self and others comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices, corporate policies, and procedures.
• Effectively troubleshoot and resolve difficult/advanced equipment issues, identifying root cause and corrective and preventive actions.
• Fabricate/repair failed components as needed.
• Implement intermediate-level programming of electronic devices, including VFDs, PLCs, and other controllers.
• Assist with equipment setup and operation.
• Identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, offering effective solutions.
• Maintain adequate critical spare parts inventory and assist with procurement of parts/quotes for budgeted items.
• Coordinate installation of new equipment, modifications, and enhancements.
• Support the engineering department with projects and initiatives.
• Work with outside contractors/vendors.
• Maintain and repair HVAC and supporting utility equipment.
• Create calibrations, certifications, and PMs for equipment.
• Provide direction to Maintenance Technicians on complex issue resolution.
• Create troubleshooting/rebuilding documentation guides.
• Provide support at meetings as directed.

Requirements

• Vocational degree in automated machinery systems or equivalent from a two‑year college with emphasis in electronics, mechanics or technology and 0–3 years related experience; or
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 5 years experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, food manufacturing or electronics preferred).

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Decision‑making skills – decisive and able to make informed decisions.
• Computer literacy – proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel; advanced understanding of computer operating systems, file management, batch files and SAP knowledge desired.
• Safety / best practices – demonstrate and enforce compliance with required PPE: footwear, hearing protection, eye protection, respirator protection, electrical PPE and maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Certifications / Licenses

• Special Engineer Boiler License (or willingness to obtain one within the first 6 months).

Compensation Range

$68,000 – $90,000. Compensation is dependent on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
