Job summary
METTLER TOLEDO in Oakland, CA, seeks an Automation Engineering Manager to lead the development of next-generation liquid handling automation. You will design precision electromechanical systems, integrate sensors, machine vision, and control architectures to improve quality, safety, and throughput.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, robotics or related engineering field.
- 5–10 years hands-on engineering experience in automation.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
- Experience with PLC and motion programming (Rockwell/Siemens).
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO, cGMP requirements and quality systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead automation projects from concept to production launch.
- Design complex electromechanical systems with precision mechanics and sensors.
- Develop control software for PLC and motion systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable automation.
- Manage budgets, external partners, and risk for capital projects.
